About.
Born and raised in Missouri, USA, I’ve always had an affinity for art, Japanese pop culture, and video games. I attended Wellesley College in Boston, Massachusetts, where I was able to study Computer Science, Art, and Japanese. During my tenure, I studied abroad in Japan for a full year. I now speak conversational Japanese.
After graduating, I worked at a small startup, Rosie, out of Ithaca, New York. For 2 years I taught myself key tenets of product design, thoroughly enjoying the challenge of understanding and simplifying the complex. Rosie has since been acquired by Instacart.
After Rosie, I moved to Austin, Texas, where I began work at Atlassian on their chat product, Hipchat. The product was eventually rebranded to Stride, but was decommissioned in 2018. I was then given the opportunity to move to Australia and join the Jira team. There I worked under the hood of Jira project configuration and analytics.
I currently work as a Senior Designer at a Google, leading critical experiences for Google Maps embedded in vehicles.
I now live in Sydney, Australia with my dog (and fellow US expat) Bear. In my free time, I throw clay, crochet toys, play video games, watch Dungeons & Dragons, and build furniture.
